ECOBOND LBP 2 gal. Latex Primer, a unique sealant and treatment formula for lead based paint mitigation, is now easy, safe, and inexpensive for both contractors and homeowners. The easy one step Paint It On and Leave It On formula readily adheres to most lead paint surfaces, providing an Eco-protective sealant and lead treatment. When used prior to renovation, repair and painting activities, remediation and demolition or lead paint stabilization, ECOBOND LBP creates a layer that binds lead dust, reduces health and safety hazards, and simplifies cleanup. The flexibility of ECOBOND LBP allows for the application of a top coat to leave in place or removal and non-hazardous environmentally protective waste for disposal. The active ingredient of ECOBOND LBP that binds lead will create a rough final finish. • Use on variety of surfaces including, not limited to wood, stucco, masonry, asphalt, cement, brick and metallic, adheres to most painted surfaces as a sealant or latex primer with top coat
• Low VOC acrylic interior/exterior latex primer contains paint additives to provide good adhesion over lead based paint surfaces, assist with penetration into substrate and resist mold/mildew growth
• Average dry to touch is 2-4 hours, average time to apply top coat by brush or roller is 24-48 hours, high humidity will require additional time for drying before application of top coat
• Easy to use, apply with brush, roller or airless sprayer
• 1 gal. covers up to 300 sq. ft. at 6-8 mil wet thickness, based on surface porosity, surface must be dry, extra care should be exercised when surface conditions have oil, epoxy or similar
• Prior to use, re-mix for 1 minute per gallon, if desired consistency is not achieved, may add up to 2 percent water by weight
• When used as recommended, ECOBOND LBP reduces airborne lead during demolition by up to 99% and treats lead to reduces lead hazards by typically over 95% for eco-protective disposal
